THE ATLANTIC FOOTBALL GROUP IS HERE!
The Atlantic Football Group (A.F.G.) is happy to announce a 3 league partnership to bring more notoriety to our operating region from
New Jersey to South Carolina. The 3 leagues represent over 60 years of existing experience including the oldest team on the East
Coast--Arbutus Big Red and the oldest tenured league--The Mason Dixon Football League (MDFL). Representing over 30 teams total and having at least 10 teams who are 15+ years old, we cover a region with Washington, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and 7 state capitals giving us a large operating area.
● The Mason Dixon Football League (Established in 1978) MDFL
● The True Football League (Established in 2012) TFL
● The Atlantic Coast Football Alliance (established in 2008) ACFA
Starting with our current upcoming seasons, we will form 3 tournaments with our leagues as host leagues in the cities of Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, and Philadelphia,Pa.Each of the 3 leagues will host each of the 3 tournaments on a 3 year rotational basis. The following 3 tournaments are now formed as:
● A.F.G. Invitational--6 teamsThe 2 teams from each league’s respective championship games in a seededformat. Champions #1--#3 and runner ups #4--#6.The winner will be crowned as The A.F.G. Champion
● A.F.G. Open--12 teams max.4 teams from each league max. Playing in a seeded format #1--#12.The winner will be crowned as The A.F.G. Open Champion
● A.F.G. Relevant--6 teams. The 2 teams who finish the season with the worst 2 records in each league in a seeded format #1--#12. The winner will be crowned as The A.F.G. Relevant Champion Tournament
These 3 tournaments will bring more notoriety to our region as each city is known for their food culture, historic culture, and modern day attractions. The region is full of activity for all ages and we aim to bring greater exposure along with the right to brag for our teams, leagues, and supporters.
